God's Discipline

"For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" Hebrews 12:6-7

There's a terrible misunderstanding among believers today about God's method of disciplining His children. They'll point to some kind of disaster-- a tornado or a car accident-- and say, "I guess God sent that catastrophe to teach us something." No, He didn't! A loving God doesn't send death and destruction on His children to instruct them. He doesn't unleash His bad dog to bite us on the leg, so we'll learn to wear our boots! How does He chastise His own? With His Word.

And Timothy 3:16-17 says, "Every Scripture is God-breathed--given by His inspiration--and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness, So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work" (The Amplified Bible). If you'll look in 2 Corinthians 7, you'll see an example of this. There the Apostle Paul talks about a situation in the Corinthian church that needed correction. That church had gotten out of line and had to be disciplined. How did Paul do it? Not by asking God to send an earthquake to shake them up! He did it by writing them a letter. He wrote them a word of reproof that hurt so badly they would have preferred being beaten with a stick. It cut deep into their spirits and brought them to repentance. Your heavenly Father loves you and because He does, He will chasten you. But He'll do it with spiritual, not fleshly tools. He'll use the spirit power in His Word to chasten unbelief and purify your spirit in such a way that you'll come out strong, not weak and condemned. So quit bowing down to disasters and start subjecting yourself instead to the Word of God. Yield to the Word. Let it correct you and trim away the flesh and the lusts that lead you astray. Remember, the Sword of the Spirit is two-edged--one side is for Satan and the other side is for you. Let God use it to keep you in line!

Time to do something about snjb.

Agreeing that the committee isn’t doing anything n nodding yr heads to it, but not doing anything about it juz isn’t rite.

So huili, shall starts pushing. Yes. Me.

Proposal 1.

Guan huai. And that includes YIQI (u finish yr exams liao), RYAN AND XINYING.

Please call every1 on the list. Even those that were in church on Sunday, to come 4 practise on Saturday.

Also call those who are NOT here on Sunday. That includes yuanting, xuanting n their bro. that includes both garys. Tis includes tingling.. tis includes... I dunno who. Hahahaha. All those hu haven been attending. Include them.

If they r not interested in coming on sat or performing. Get them 2 come down on Sunday.

That’s all. CALL THEM. I REPEAT. CALL THEM! Esp those hu haven been attending. Let them realize they ARE NOT forgotten.

Proposal 2.

Wei wei.

Zhong wu. Logistics.

I still rem I was zhong wu for 2 years, n it REALLI was LOGISTICS. I have 2 go put the chairs properly b4 service and then stack them again after every service. And it was onli SOMETIMES that ppl came 2 help.

Anyway. I want to see FOOD on the next snjb service. (not sure if after youth Sunday got service anot) go ask some1. maybe yr sister. If got, I want to see food. At least potato chips. The least, potato chips.

and get food every other week also.

Maybe 2 times in a month.

Don’t need 2 buy yourself. Can get ppl 2 buy 4 u. say. I AM THE ZHONG WU. I TELL U BUY THEN U MUST BUY. Get things done.

I nominated u tt time. Dun let me down ger.

Heard from inside info that yuanting WANTS TO SERVE in the committee.

If some1 wants to serve, y not let them have the chance.

Also, every1 knows that lynn is gone. N dunno when she will b back. there is no feng4 xian4. No income. Cox the offering bag always forget 2 be passed down.

And the last time I know, shuxian was the treasurer?! Tis cant continue. God’s money, tithing must be done properly.

I suggest yuanting to take over. After all, its only a few more mths.

But b4 that, if every1 agrees that is, we must ask yuanting whether she really wants 2 serve, and be prepared to come early every wk. (cox claiming $$ muz b early or the church treasurer would b gone.)

I suggest reuben or fuyun be the one hu contact her.

Proposal 5.

Tinking of hu is going 2 take over the committee places next yr is also a big headache.

I also see that some people in snjb may wants to serve. But they never got the chance. Because they r small fries n no 1 realises them. They dun dare say also.

So I suggest we allow them 2 have a chance.

N I suggest that onli the advisors can look at it. And then include their names in the voting name list.

Like tt, people will feel more “safe” to write wat they want.

I tink that’s all. I tired liao. So long know.

And I don’t want to go hound u guys on whether u called, whether u bought food. U know. Stuffs like tt. (or maybe I will) if God calls me 2 hound u guys. Hahahhaha.

Cox I believe that serving cant be forced.

U serve because u have been so blessed, u want to bless others.
U serve because there must be output instead of just input from God.
U serve because u love God u wana do something 4 Him. And something for your own SNJB, God’s SNJB also.

Oh!! And last thing. I will nv finish nehs. …

Pls include SNJB in yr prayers. A simple sentence. Of “Jesus. Its Your SNJB. Bless it.” Would help a lot. God hears any prayers. Long or short.
